The ingredients needed to make Tawa Paneer:
  1. Prepare 200 - 250 gms Paneer
  2. Get 1 Onion finely chopped ,
  3. Get 1 / bell pepper Capsicumgreen
  4. Get 3 Tomatoes chopped
  5. Take 4 - 5 Garlic
  6. Take 1 Ginger
  7. Take 1 Green chili chopped
  8. Take ½ tsp seeds Ajwain Carom /
  9. Get 1 tsp Coriander powder
  10. Take ¼ tsp red chilli Kashmiri powder
  11. Prepare ¼ tsp Turmeric haldi powder /
  12. Prepare 1 tsp Pav masala bhaji
  13. Get OR
  14. Prepare ½ tsps ¼ tsps Garam masala mango powder amchur + dry / powder
  15. Make ready 2 tbsps Butter
  16. Take ½ tsp Kasuri methi Fenugreek Crushed   / dry   leaves
  17. Make ready as required Salt
  18. Make ready coriander / Few chopped leavesdhania patta for garnish
Steps to make Tawa Paneer:
  1. Evenly chop the paneer into fine cubes and soak them in salt water.
  2. Finely Chop onions, capsicum and green chillies.
  3. Roughly chop the tomatoes.
  4. Grind the ginger & garlic into a paste
  5. Add the chopped tomatoes (3 medium tomatoes) in a blender and make a smooth puree & keep aside.
  6. Melt the butter in a skillet & add Carom seeds/Ajwain and fry them for a few seconds or till aromatic.
  7. Add chopped onion & saute until translucent.  Then add the ginger-garlic paste, chopped green chili, finely chopped capsicum/green bell pepper and saute for about 2-3 minutes.
  8. Add kashmiri red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and pav bhaji masala. If you don’t have pav bhaji masala, then add garam masala + amchur powder/dry mango powder. stir and saute for about a minute.
  9. Add tomato puree and stir. Season it with salt keep stirring it at intervals. Saute it till you see butter releasing from the sides and the masala has thickened on low flame for approximately 10 minutes. If the tomato masala looks dry, then add 1 or 2 tbsp of water and continue to saute.
  10. Add the paneer cubes and stir well, so that the masala coats the paneer cubes evenly. Cook the paneer for 1 to 2 minutes. then add ½ tsp crushed kasuri methi/dry fenugreek leaves. Stir very well and switch off the flame.
  11. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve tawa paneer masala with chapatis, phulkas, naan or bread.
