  1. Take 200 gms Paneer
  2. Take 200 gms Peas
  3. Make ready 1 big Onion

  6. Make ready 2 spoons Oil
  7. Get 1 spoon cumin seeds
  8. Take 1/2 small spoon Garam masala

Here is a simple matar paneer recipe punjabi style. Matar paneer is a regular dish in Punjabi households. It is ubiquitious dish and goes very well rice, puri and rice. Heat the oil in a frying pan over high heat until it's shimmering hot.

Steps to make Matar paneer:
  1. First chopped tomatoes and onion finely. Boil the peas or take frozen and cut paneer into cubes.
  2. Now take a kadhai to add oil. When oil heated law the flame adds cumin then chopped onion.when onion turn golden add dry spices. Now add tomatoes and saute them.
  3. Now when the oil separates from the gravy add salt, paneer, and peas to it give a boil for 3 minutes on low flame. Mattar paneer is ready to serve.

Matar paneer has paneer and matar/ green peas as main ingredients. I tried this recipe after I tasted this at my friend Sangeeta's place.
